Perfect… until it wasn’t
Easy assembly. Sturdy and safe for my bird. Enough space and safety for a short weekend away with him. Great for travel. Love that it is easily buckled into my car. Would be nice if perch on top came off for easier storage under his cage but absolutely not a problem!!! Highly recommended!UPDATE:I still recommend this but I did have a problem develope. The pin that secures the door shut fell out. I had used this cage maybe 4 times without any problems. After a 45 minute drive, I arrived home and went to get the cage (with my brid IN IT) out of the car and the door flung open! Luckily, my bird was on the other side of the cage and not in a hurry to get out. It turns out, the pin that holds the door shut fell out! The pieces fell into the grass by the car and I couldn’t find them. My husband has tried to replace the parts to make it work but can’t find parts the correct size. Now I have to keep tying the door shut. I would assume this isn’t a problem with all of the cages. If this hadn’t have happened, I would still give this 5 stars but seeing the door is an important part and now it won’t stay shut without a fuss, I have to take some stars away.

Good travel cage – even though itâs a bit heavy
I really like this purchase as itâs made really well and is defiantly very sturdy. Will be great to use as a emergency home for my birds when cleaning home cages and big enough for short term travel needs for my three birds. Also big enough to add some toys and additional perchases.The only negative (if you want to call it that) is that the unit is a bit heavy, as itâs made very well (not a thin wire cage). So if you purchase it, expect the cage to be a bit clumsy while carrying. Itâs not the typical âtraveling companionâ cage you throw on your shoulder or back !

Love the sturdiness and well made design. Only weighs 13 pounds but very secure when buckled in my back seat. Also use for play to give Popcorn places to hang out.

We used this to transport pet rats. It’s sturdy enough, but you can’t remove the handle because that’s what holds it all together.

Just Great!
This is the PERFECT travel cage for your bird. Our Goffin’s Cockatoo Heidi made the12 hour trip from Las Cruces, NM to Oklahoma City, OK in total comfort. Since this cage is designed like the big cage she lives in, the trip was in no way traumatic for her. She had plenty of room to move, the food and water dishes are just like the ones in her big cage, and the bars are appropriately spaced to make her feel at home. There are also brackets on the outside of the cage that your car seatbelt fits right into to keep the cage secure for the entire trip. I am SO happy we purchased this travel cage for her trip. For anyone needing to take their feathered family member on a long trip, this is the way to go!
