I like stuff –
Work great for my quail
I raise Coturnix quail for their lovely little eggs. I got these cages to house them in. I made some modifications and they have worked well for what I needed. I couldn’t beat the price either!

Great value for easy to assemble cages
Great value for easy to assemble cages. They just clip together. I add a hardware cloth floor for my button quail to live happily in them.

Seny Bird Cages
Seny Bird CagesFirst of all, they came with multiple pieces bent even though the package was not damaged. Then the pieces didnât fit together tightly enough to be secure. And, some of the wires were not evenly spaced. At that point, we talked about returning the cages, but I encouraged my daughter to keep them and fix them rather than return them because she needed them now. Big mistake! She went through and straightened all of the panels, tightened all of the connections, and used about 100 zip ties to secure and stabilize the connections. The flooring wire in this type of cage is spaced too far apart for small birds to ever walk on. She uses these pens to house her button quail, and she prefers them to be on shavings rather than replacing the wire bottom or covering it with ¼ inch hardware cloth. She knew from the beginning that she would need to take the top floor panel out of each pen and use some zip ties to provide extra support. This has worked well for her in the past. So we didnât expect a problem with this step. However, after removing all of the floor panels and securing everything with zip ties, she tried to put in the first plastic tray.Plastic trays: The trays are warped and are not flat, the wall of the tray is taller in the middle than on the corners which makes them stick when pushing them in and pulling them out. This by itself was not huge, because the wires of the cage are somewhat flexible. The BIG problem is that the trays are not the correct size! They are almost wide enough for the cage, but not deep enough from front to back by about 2 inches. This means if you push it to the back, the birds can now fall out the front of the cage. If you keep it at the front of the cage, there is a 2 inch trench in the back of the cage for them to get stuck in, or fall through. There has been nothing easy about this purchase except that they came on time. Even though they are all put together now (this took 8 to 10 hours due to repairs and modifications), I need to return them because they are completely useless with trays that donât fit properly. Even if I was housing small birds in my house that didnât need to be on the bottom of the cage, I would not be happy with a tray that didnât catch all of the droppings.

Flimsy but it works
I used this for my birds and it wasn’t the most sturdy but it worked well. Some cages were harder to assemble than others. When the tray is coming out you have to be careful because bird feet can get stuck in there.

Buy different brand
Buy a different brand of the same cage they are much better quality for a little more money! The Seny cages have lots of defects like the poo trays being too small so it doesnât catch everything like others do and lots of metal burrs to catch your hands on when assembling they need better quality control! Almost returned these but they were needed.
