I bought this stainless steel fruit and veggie holder kebab for my cockatiel, Berry, and it’s become one of the most used items in his cage setup. Living in GA, where fresh produce is so easy to come by at local farmer’s markets, I’m always picking up organic fruit and leafy greens for him—and this kebab makes it super easy to serve everything in a clean and fun way.First off, the material is very sturdy and feels like great quality. It’s stainless steel, so I don’t worry about it rusting even with juicy fruits like watermelon or berries. I’ve washed it multiple times already and there’s no discoloration or weird smell. The clasp at the top is secure but easy to open and close, so I can reload it quickly without fumbling.It’s also a perfect length for small to medium birds—long enough to fit a nice variety of treats, but not so long that it gets in the way of other cage accessories. I’ve been able to layer apples, kale, bell pepper strips, and even little slices of banana. Berry LOVES pulling food off of it! It keeps him entertained, encourages foraging behavior, and most importantly—it keeps his fruits off the bottom of the cage (which, let’s be honest, is a dusty no-no zone).What I really like is how it turns snack time into enrichment. Instead of just putting food in a dish, this turns it into an activity. I’ve seen Berry spend a good 20–30 minutes carefully working his way down the kebab, and it’s adorable to watch. He especially likes when I twist leafy greens through the loops like a ribbon—super cute and super clever enrichment.For anyone in warmer climates like me, where fruit can spoil quickly if left out too long, I recommend checking every few hours to remove anything too soft or perishable. But overall, this holder helps air circulate around the food better than a dish would, so everything stays fresh longer.I honestly think this little accessory helps my bird’s mental health and physical diet. Worth it!
My conure loves it. She usually takes the pieces of fruit from her bowl, and carries it in her foot up to her perch to eat, but now she’s able to eat without her foot and can stay on her perch. Really easy to use and really sturdy.

it hangs too high because its too small.. its hard for birds to grab and eat
