Perfect Shallow Food/Water Bowl for Finches
I was reluctant to buy these food/water bowls after reading some reviews. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews that said they’re too big for finches and don’t work on 1/2″ cage bars…the small size is perfect for my finches and they fit/stay perfectly on all my 1/2 bar spaced cages (Kings, A&E and PH).Each bowl holds just about 1.5 tbs of food, I attached photos showing a bowl with 1 tbs of food for comparison and a photo of bowls attached to a Kings flight cage with 1/2″ bar spacing. My birds prefer these shallow bowls over the traditional deep bowls.A lot less waste of seed now too, being nice & shallow allows them to get their food more easily. They are pricey, but well worth it for my Zebra Finches

Birds love them
These have a nice lip on the edge for them to grab onto. Perfect depth to the dish. Good for English budgies. They are a bit flimsy for the price. They need to be properly secured so they are not easily tipped. I have them above the sliding cup door at the loops. This holds them in tightly. My birds prefer these cups to all others I have tried. It would be nice if the securing hangers were molded plastic right to the cup.

Perfect little bird feeders
These little dishes are perfect for my crippled bird that doesn’t like to hang out on the floor of cage. He can eat and drink easily from them.

Lost one in the dishwasher for months and it never rusted
I ordered small for my budgies. I lost one at the bottom of my dishwasher for months and recently found it. It never rusted and was able to wash brand new. A year later and Iâm happy with my purchaseTheyâre sturdy enough to stand on, small enough to not waste space and put next to an existing perch, clear so you can see the food, and the perfect size for serving chop and or a little seed. Tried to get the best picture I could for this review.

Small size doesn’t stay attached to standard 1/2″ spaced cage bar
I don’t understand how anyone can rate the small size of this seed cup as anything but one star. It simply would NOT attach to a standard cage bar (1/2″ standard bar spacing). As soon as I hooked the metal clips over a horizontal bar, the cup tilted forward and fell off. And this was with no bird sitting on it! The wire fasteners were straight, so that’s not the problem. But the bottom part of the cup was narrower than the bar spacing, so the cup could not rest against anything and tipped over. Perhaps they have changed the design since the previous good reviews. Or perhaps the previous reviews were for the medium sized cup. At any rate, as it now stands, even if you can overlook the high price, do not even consider the small version of this seed cup.It is completely useless. I have returned mine.

GRAND – and PERFECT for finch and canaries – if overly expensive.
I’d give this five stars if the price was not so high.A canary will only eat the top 1/4 inch of seeds in the cup. I was using deep cups that came with my cage and my bird had to either hold onto a thin side edge or get into the cup. With these small cups the size and volume is perfect. Sunny eats all his seeds every day – canary blend with vitamins in one and niger in the other along with a fair amount of brocolli, apples, spinach, lettuce, etc. too.He can easily feed while standing on a branch next to the feeders or by sitting on the edge of the cups, which are nicely rounded. A potential upgrade for the product would be either adding some grooves in the front edge or something to help birds hold on.Eventually I’ll forget how much these cost and I’ll be absolutely thrilled.

outstanding shallow dish for veggies and fruits
High quality. I got the small one. The packaging is in Japanese, so it is lucky to be able to get it on Amazon. The simple hooks are for horizontal cage bars. (You should have a cage with horizontal bars anyway so that your bird can climb around freely.) If you have vertical bars you will need to attach a horizontal somehow.

Perfect for canaries
Super cute and nicely made. They look and feel like they will last a long time. Small is perfect size for canaries. Washes easily even with fruit and greens stuck to them.
