He hates it, lol
To be honest I’m not sure I’d trust the velcro on this harness to hold a panicking bird from breaking out of this thing, but if your bird stays calm or if you’re just using this as a diaper, I think you’d be okay. As for me, I can’t get this thing fully on my bird – he will have none of it, haha. It seems to be made well, and boy is it cute. The top attachment being fully velcro allows for some sizing flexibility, but I wish there was a button or clasp or SOMETHING a little more secure than just two little squares of velcro keeping this thing on. Other than that I’m pretty happy with this, and I’ll keep working with my little guy on wearing it.

The size works well for a green cheeked conure
Firstly I should mention that it’s going to take time to train my bird to allow me to put this on her. We’re working on it.This seems to be a very nice quality harness. It’s well made. I’m not really sure if I would trust using the elastic leash more than a few times because elastic is known to get brittle and I would hate for it to snap and to lose my bird. That could just me being a worry wart, but it is a legitimate worry. Definitely keep it away from your birds beak, and never leave your bird unattended with the leash attached. It would be really unfortunate if the bird damaged the elastic while it was not being observed and you couldn’t tell until it separated during flight outdoors or something. The harness itself though, I would trust to stay on. One thing that I initially was a little irritated by was the way they Velcro tabs are sewn on. The stitches are not around the outside of the tab, rather, closer to the center. It makes it a little difficult to peel the velcro pieces apart once they’re attached, but I think that would help in them not coming undone while your bird is wearing it. I’ll have more details and will update this once I’m able to use it, but I’m really excited about the prospect.First impression is that this is a good quality item, and that I would recommend it as well as order again. The small is definitely for smaller sized birds such as a green cheek conure, which I have. I also ordered this in a medium size and that one is good for a Quaker, which I also have. I’m glad that I did because the small is definitely too small for a Quaker sized bird.
