Prevue Pet Products 3100 Cage Corner Shelf
This is a good quality product. The two sides that attach to the cage are 12″ long so it’s very large. Instead of a washer for the bolts to fit through on the outside of the cage it has four 3″ long slabs of metal made from the same material as the shelf. This enables it to fit on widely spaced vertical or horizontal cage bars. The shelf itself is very sturdy with heavily welded components and a grey/black textured powder coat that resists rust. The spacing between the bars on the shelf is 3/4″ and the bars themselves are fairly thick. There are no sharp edges. I bought two of these and they arrived in three days!! I am not using these for birds, but for my two furry friends. It works great for them and their cage so I assume it would work great for birds and their cages. Great product at a great price, I will update if anything changes.*UPDATE*Had these shelves for several months now. The powder coat is doing a great job holding up to the pee and poop, however the exposed metal nut has turned brown and is rusting because of the pee. The one component that can’t be powder coated of course. Other than that nothing has broken, the powder coat hasn’t chipped, the nut still fits securely into the shelf, my little ones have not cut themselves, and it does a great job of not collecting pee and poop. If I had a bigger cage I would buy more.

IN SHORT> Nice and big, a full 12″ radius> Well built> Installed almost effortlessly in my Prevue Pet Products Wrought Iron Flight Cage with Stand F040 Black Bird Cage, 31-Inch by 20-1/2-Inch by 53-Inch cage. Not designed for Pervue 485 cage Prevue Hendryx 485 Pet Products Feisty Ferret Home with Stand, Black Hammertone, but can be installed with a little difficulty> Same pewter gray “night camouflage” which is great for hiding droppingsUSESA good general purpose platform. I use it for a 10″ diameter terra cotta flower pot dish, which is my Senegal’s “swimming pool”. The terra cotta dish is perfect, as it is the perfect depth, it is too heavy for my parrot to lift and dump, evaporation from the sides of the dish keeps the water fresh and cool, and the rough surface is easy for bird feet to grip.INSTALLATIONThe holes in the sides of the shelf itself are threaded, so you mount a “strip washer” on a winged machine screw (provided), push it through the bars, and screw it into the side of the shelf.SHORTCOMINGThe only significant shortcoming is that the leading edge of the shelf is very narrow—there’s really no place for birdy feet to grip. She loves it
I have a bird cage full of stuff for my parrot. This platform is her favorite of everything , who knew the donât alway like to perch. Shes sleep on it and drags her toys on it to play. Very well made and as sturdy as the cage itself.make sure your cage is big enough for it. I only had fone corner that worked well away from her 3 feeder bowls. Nice to get a quality piece for such a good price . Lot of cheap stuff out there not worth buying this is not one of those

No Hardware?
This product is very sturdy and is the exact material and finish of my Prevue Hendryx Flight Cage. It is a very large shelf that will make the perfect mid-way level in the cage so my cockatiel can get more use out of his spacious cage. But the problem is, I bought this used to save a few few bucks and it came with zero mounting hardware. No bolts, no wing nuts, and no washer tabs. So now, Iâve got to visit the local hardware store and hopefully get those items in plain stainless steel, which is hard to find without nickel, anodizing or zinc. So, the money saved by buying used will again be lost by having to buy my own hardware. Lesson learned.At least the item arrived promptly. Prevue bird cage products are high quality. This deserves five stars, but the seller does not.

I decided I need to write reviews when I like things and not just when I don’t (oops!)I got this shelf for my double flight cage that has finches in it. It’s big so be sure you measure. I wanted to ‘bring the bottom up’ a bit – since the finches aren’t using a large part of the cage and like to congregate at the top.I am using it to hold a bath jar as well as a plant, and it works great. It’s much easier to clean the bottom of the cage if I have things elevated and can slide the grate out more easily but still have things in the cage. I’m getting another one so now will have one for both top & bottom of the flight cage.I painted it with a water based paint to lighten it – and yes, would be nice to get it in other colors but at this price I can paint it.No issues attaching it to the cage and it’s really sturdy.

I bought this knowing that it was going to be on the larger side for bigger parrots but I was not expecting it to be so massive! Fortunately it was easy to restructure the cage layout around it. My amazon looks so tiny on it!The shelf is very sturdy and was fairly easy to install (it didn’t come with instructions though, but it was clear that the metal strips were sort of like washers and they were there to prevent the screws from going through the bars of the cage), and didn’t seem to leave any sharp edges or spots for his toes to get caught. My amazon has been very confused as to why he has a shelf, but hopefully it will help provide a flat surface for him to stand on when he’s in his cage.Edit: It’s been a few months now, and it’s his FAVORITE spot in the cage now. He prefers to sleep on it over his perches, and I’ll often catch him dragging his toys over to play with them on there.

Purchased after buying the Preview medium bird cage after reading many positive reviews.My cocktail speaks most her time on this shelf as it lends more support and less fatigue. Being ground feeders in their homeland, I think these birds appreciate the alternative switch up from traditional round roosts. I find she also prefers to sleep on the shelf over roosting. She has other options in her cage that she also likes including; flattened concrete perches and a nice swing. Sometimes for entertainment she will sit on her shelf and reach out and push her swing with her beak and watch the swing go back and forth. I think she also finds this comforting as sometimes she will beak chatter when doing this and fall asleep.

I bought this for my new cockatiel cage. I have one tiel that has a bad leg and wanted her to be able to rest on this shelf. It was hard to install though. The tip of the corner has an indent in it for cages that have one bar in the corner of the cage, not two like the one I bought. So it was not up against the back and the side panels of the cage. We had to put wood between this and the side of the cage to be able to screw it in place. Otherwise it would have pulled the sides in and warped the cage.
