Love this cage
This is a great cage, super sturdy, well made and huge. My neighbors have 5 parakeets stuffed into a tiny cage and I just can’t take it anymore so this is a secret Santa gift for them. It’s easy to assemble, takes some time but one person can do it. The only difficulty for one small person is lifting the cage onto the stand but I did it with only one smashed thumb so not bad. The directions are pretty good, just one piece was not depicted well but I eventually figured it out and also the cross support bars on the cart have to be installed with the lip up and on the outside to hold the cage in place which a normal person most likely would know but me it took a minute….. Oh well…. There are a some extra screws I haven’t figured out and they are not on the sheet that shows all that is included so no idea what they are for and there are some other holes drilled into the top front and back of the cage that shouldn’t be there and no the extra screws don’t go there and they wouldn’t do anything if they did so still a mystery. The only thing I think they should add is a handle on top or sides of the cage to make it easier to lift it off the rolling stand as it’s heavy and being such a big cage it really does need something to help lift it off when necessary. Not everyone can just roll it into another area and if you try to lift it up to move it over something it pops off the cart. Believe me you definitely can hurt yourself with that feature (recall my mention of the smashed thumb). All in all I’m thrilled with this cage, it’s really great quality and the best priced I found for this size. These birds are moving from a single wide to the suite at the Astor. They are going to be very happy.

If you are looking for a great cage, this is it!!!
I love this cage, but most importantly, my birds love this cage. There is plenty of room for them to fly back and forth and up and down from perch to perch. The main door is very large which makes cleaning or playing with my girls very easy. I really like the extra side doors too. They make it much easier to attach perches to the sides of the cage without help. It was very easy to assemble and the wheels roll very nicely on hard floors or carpet. The bottom tray comes out very easily. I love the shelf on the bottom. It is great for storage for my bird supplies. It came with a wire shelf/rack for inside the cage which connects to the back and to the front of the cage, and at first I did not know if my birds would like it, but they do. They usually sleep on it at night. My only negative is that I wish that the cage was solid black. It is more of an industrial gray/black hammered look, but still very nice. I cannot take off points for the color as this is a great cage and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a really great cage for their feathered babies.

Pretty good cage
I decided it was time to upgrade my cockatiel and green cheek conure’s cage, and after a lot of looking and research, I decided on this. Assembly was pretty easy, although it did take two people (you could maybe do it alone if you got creative). It took probably half an hour to put together. There were a few bars in the cage that were a little bent, but I’m pretty obsessive about things looking perfect, and I was able to shrug it off.Overall the cage is great. It’s roomy enough for my two smallish birds without being so big it dominates the room. I like the nesting doors at the top–sometimes I open them and let the birds crawl in and out of them. The big door on the front is nice and gives you easy access to the entire cage. You can expand the play area by putting toys or a gym on the top of the cage–or birds can just go sit up there and have a nap.Some cons:The cage just sits on top of the stand. One nudge and the cage would fall off, possibly injuring you or your birds. I zip-tied mine at each corner and it’s pretty sturdy now. But that seems like a huge manufacturer’s flaw. The cage should fit snuggly and have lots of support in the stand without having to secure it.I also don’t like that you can’t remove the grate on the bottom without leaving a huge gap. I prefer to not use grates because you have to clean them all the time, but with this cage I’m forced to use it or risk one of my birds injuring themselves if they try to escape out the gap in the bottom.This might be a fluke, but the latch on my cage is pretty hard to open. It’s spring-action, which seems like overkill. It’s either gotten easier to open over time or my thumb has gotten stronger. The latch was actually one of the determining factors in choosing this cage (I wanted a latch that would open and close easily and this one looked like it did), so I was disappointed to find that it was so difficult to open. Maybe it’s something a little oil will fix?For a cage this size, I feel like the casters on the stand could be higher quality. My sister and niece both bought a smaller cage and stand that has much more substantial casters. That’s being nitpicky, but it still would have been nice to have something a little more hefty with a smooler roll since this is a bigger cage.It looks like the cons outweigh the pros, but they really don’t. This is a huge cage for the money and my birds have loved it. I do recommend the cage, but it’s not perfect and I wanted to be sure people were aware of its flaws before deciding to buy it.
