Ok bird dishes for small birds
These plastic feed dishes are ok for parakeets and smaller birds. A large bird could just bite them and break a piece off. One of ours arrived cracked and with a couple pieces broken off. They are not very sturdy, but they are sturdy enough for parakeets or finches. Also, they have fairly small hooks to hold them onto the cage, so again, that is fine for parakeets or smaller birds, but even a small Conure would be able to lift a side off the wire and dump it.They have dividers, but it is not practical at all to put seed in one side and water in the other. The birds will get the seeds in the water immediately. So, it is better to use one of the dishes entirely for seed, and one entirely for water.It is nice that they included a little scoop.

These troughs hold a lot of food and water
I was concerned that my parakeets were not drinking enough water, so I decided to get more water cups to put inside their cage.These troughs are great – they come in a two-pack, which means there are 4 compartments total.I’m using them for water at the moment just to get the birds used to them.I’m thinking of using one or two compartments for treats or fruits and vegetables.I think these would make a good salad bar for the birds LOLThe troughs are easy to hang in the cage.They have a perch on the front for the birds to stand on and they are easy to clean.The little fill device works OK for adding water or treats, but in may cage, at least, it’s just as easy to use a bottle of water, or a scoop of seed.Another great find on Amazon.
