Great Healthy Food for your Parrot.
I had to LOL at giving 5 stars for flavor. For the record I dont eat my parrot’s food so can’t rate it with first hand knowledge for flavor. This is my Yellow Nape’s main diet for at least 25 yrs. He eats it readily. I mean he also eats pizza readily too but thats only a weekly or biweekly treat. He’s in great shape for his age 37 years old this Christmas. Also with this food there is no need for adding Vitamins to the water. It’s all in the pellets. And of course this is desirable to a seed diet which is so high in fat that its detrimental to the bird’s health as it would be to ours. One word of caution against buying in bulk: Do not store this in plastic bins or containers for long. It will go rancid. I called PrettyBird directly and spoke to a manager in their customer service dept who explained that the plastic in the container reacts with the composition of the pellets and causes them to go rancid. They’re still safe to eat as nothing has rotted, but it smells terrible. I just recently bought the 8 lb bag instead of the 20 and as per their instructions will just leave it in the bag from now on.

Good price, good feed!
Since we moved out of Florida I have had difficulty finding this food at times. Then Petsmart carried it for a while. Then the price just almost doubled. Petsmart quit carrying it. I went all over the Austin area and calling stores to locate some. Then my son googled this feed and found it here. It is a much better price than what I had been paying and shipping is super reasonable at around $6. This company has sent me fresh feed twice now and quickly. This is the only feed our Cockatoo will eat. I have tried to switch her over with not much luck. She wastes so much of it that I have to find the best price. Our bird has been on this feed since birth(the breeder uses this brand as well as the vet I worked for carried it) as well as a Macaw I had till he died. She is 16 yo and been in good health feeding this along with a variety of other foods. I look forward to doing future business with this company. It is the best price I could find.

My parrots have eaten this mix for 20 plus years. I cannot find this size of 20 lbs locally so order it monthly and am always satisfied.

Bad food
Product is not fresh. Smells bad. Can’t feed to my parrots. Had to throw it all out. Afraid it would make my birds sick. Can’t return Product. Will never order again. Looks like a type of mold covering it. Took photo compare their old bird food from another store to this bad food.

Good nutrition – my Amazon Gray has been on this food for most of her 14-year life so far and does very well. We supplement with healthy table food. She wastes some by throwing it to the bottom of the cage and then dunks some in water to play with it, but I think she would do that with any food.
