Measure your cage first!
The material this is made of is great so far as the quality goes! It’s my bad that I didn’t measure my bird cage – I just assumed it would fit because I thought I had a pretty standard size. If it DID fit my bird cage, it would have been PERFECT.

Nice Cover
I like this light weight bird cage cover. It fits my tall cage well. Since the cage is up against the wall I leave it on and just unzip the side and fold it back-huge help especially since I leave each morning before the sunrises. I quietly unzip and fold the cover back without disturbing my birds too much.

Cover Isnât Blackout
My 22 year old cockatiel Rudy really values his sleep, so itâs essential that heâs covered up at night. Also, cockatiels tend to get night fright, so total darkness and quiet is needed so they can relax. This cover is a good size, as it has fairly universal measurements, but double check to make sure it fits yours. It zips up on both sides of the front to create flap that makes it easy to place on & remove. Thereâs a large slit on top to accommodate for handles or perches on top of the cage, but I donât need it. The slit lets light in, so I simply placed something over it to block incoming light that could disturb Rudy. I think Iâll just stitch it shut. The material is pretty thin and light could be seen thru it. After zipping it all up, I turned the lamp on and peeked underneath the cover. The light was obvious and way brighter than Iâd like. I was hoping for a thicker blackout curtain type material for both light and insulation. But it does the job and I could still add a blanket for added darkness and warmth. There are double zippers on each flap, but for what reason? I dunno. All I know is several times while zipping the flap shut, I pulled the wrong (top) zipper head down. The lower zipper head held it closed it while the upper zipper head just re-opened it. I didnât realize this happened til I heard Rudy chirping instead of sleeping. I looked over and it was all open like some fat dudeâs fly.
The Shaun –
Works well and made of a good material. It blocks light well and helps keep my conure from screaming in the mornings.

The measurements aren’t accurate subtract at least an inch from length and width, height is only 23.5 inches not 31.5. fabric has no smell (still recommend washing before use). The zipper is decent.
