Weekly Photo Contest Winners
This week’s photo contest winners are in, and we have some amazing pictures to share with you. From the most expressive to the sleepiest, we’ve got a range of adorable dogs that are sure to make you smile.
This Week’s Winner
Our winner this week is Ziggy, a Golden Chihuahua with a heartwarming story. Ziggy’s owner says, "Ziggy isn’t my first rescue, and though it’s been only 2 months, it feels like longer. I was devastated after losing my first dog suddenly a week before my birthday this year. It took 6 months to even come around to the idea of opening my heart up. He was shy at first and still is growing into his personality. This photo is today and shows how happy he is. Rescues require patience, but in my patience, he’s taught me the value in slowing down and being open, even when he was abandoned. Who saved who? It’s a tie – we both saved each other."
Most Expressive
Rosie, a Rottweiler and Mastiff mix, is our most expressive winner this week. Her owner says, "Rosie is a very special dog. Rosie is a service dog; she has the ability to sniff out low blood sugar. She also is a very loyal and dependable companion. Rosie spends her weekends visiting hospitals and retirement centers to cheer people up. However, we spent a lot of time at the nurses’ station. When she’s home, she sleeps with her bunny, and she always has to have a pillow."
Silliest
Flynn, a Terrier mix, is our silliest winner this week. His owner says, "Flynn and his brother Butters went as Pickle Pickleball Players for Halloween!" This fun and quirky photo showcases Flynn’s playful personality.
Most Dignified
Blue, a Goberian, is our most dignified winner this week. Her owner says, "Blue is a sassy Goberian (Golden Retriever/Husky mix), and she’s a terrific sport when it comes to getting dressed up for fun social media posts. As the self-appointed CEO of the SoCal chapter of S.A.S, the Squirrel Appreciation Society, Blue takes her leadership duties seriously, keeping her backyard and neighborhood under vigilant yet friendly watch. Blue recently turned 7, and as any birthday queen should, donned her cape and crown for this royal photo in front of our home."
Cutest
Una, a Jack Russell mix, is our cutest winner this week. Her owner says, "Una loves to run and play outside in the leaves!" This adorable photo showcases Una’s energetic and playful personality.
Sleepiest
Bueller, a Chihuahua Terrier mix, is our sleepiest winner this week. His owner says, "Bueller is the best doggie in the world! He loves a good snooze, and it’s hard to predict where he’ll take a nap next! We nicknamed him Sleepy." This cute photo showcases Bueller’s love for sleeping.
Best Action Shot
Ivy, a Yellow Labrador Retriever, is our best action shot winner this week. Her owner says, "All Labs and water anywhere – watch out. Pool, beach, lake, mud puddle, all the same for them. Great fun!" This action-packed photo showcases Ivy’s love for water and play.
