Feeding Time in a Multi-Dog Household
Hi, I’m Dr. Maja! Read my introduction to learn more about me and my three dogs, Lava, Hela, and Lajka.
Introduction to My Furry Family
Having three dogs, who’ve not known each other since a young age, means being a bit more careful and insightful around feeding times. Luckily, they are pretty good when it comes to respecting each other’s privacy while eating, and there is an established hierarchy based on their love for food. There is also a different approach based on whether they are being fed inside or outside.
Meet Lava, the Picky Eater
Lava has a unique personality. She loves food, but usually only when it’s on my plate. She’d do anything for a bite of table scraps, despite me never giving her any. As soon as I’m making something or getting ready to eat, there she is, somewhere close by, but not too close, so I wouldn’t realize she’s there. Lava is also a picky eater and needs persuading to eat her own food. She’s been like this since she was a puppy.
