Great potential, just add a few treats in the box
Cute foraging toy with naturally colored items. It is not that big, but the quality is there. I would recommend this for medium to small sized birds (think greys/goffins to conures). I hid a some treats in the bottom to make it more interesting. My parrots chewed through all the items pretty fast, so it did not last more than a couple days for me. Nothing was too hard to chew through, which kept my parrots from ignoring it. Not a bad price for a simple toy (we parrot owners know they add up).

Great foraging and chewable kit with big variety of natural items. Birds really loved it.
This is a great item. Useful for all different sizes of pet birds. Since foraging is a great way to occupy a bored bird and stimulate them to use their natural instincts, it is a great type of item to give your birds, even if it doesnât last long. They provide a good amount of very diverse items in this box. All of them are natural and chewable. They are all pretty good-sized chunks, yet all different sizes. A good number are handmade. What I like best is that the wooden pieces have holes drilled in them. Therefore, I will use those on homemade toys when I decide to be done with the box.The only issue I found was something that didnât concern me much, honestly. One of the brown, coconut-like shell pieces had something on the outside of it that looked like a dead moss or fungus that grew on the plant when it was alive (not after). I didnât know if that was something that was safe for pet birds or not, so I pulled that one little piece out. Better safe than sorry with pets. That is part of working with natural, outdoor items. Everything else in the box was clear of that sort of thing. Otherwise, all of it looks bird-safe from my experience with these types of items. It comes in perfectly dry and already mixed up in a little box. It is ready to open and immediately give to the bird. It is fine if they chew on the box too, since it didnât have any coloring or stickers.MY BIRDâS REACTION TO ITI had my conure explore it first and he was immediately interested and chewing away at things. He didnât dig things out. I donât think he thought about there being something under the stringy material. Later, I let one of my cockatielâs explore it, too. His name is Bell and he immediately jumped inside of the box and started running around in the material and chewing a little on things, including the box it comes in. Bell sees all boxes as potential nests, so he became a little possessive of the area. I did have the lid propped open, so if I removed the lid perhaps, he would quit that type of behavior. That little cockatiel is not very interested in toys usually, but since this involves foraging more, it is something that he should enjoy. My second cockatiel was too afraid of the box and especially the larger contents. She will enjoy it as soon as she warms up. It is nice to keep everything in the box, I plan to just pull it out for them occasionally, when I am sitting in the room. Some of the materials will be chewed up very quickly. That way it will last longer. The two large balls included where the most interesting thing to my birds. They had yet to explore the pinecones and whatever the shell is (looks similar to coconut). After warming up to the box a little, both of those birds were perfectly content walking around inside. My cockatiel has a habit of seeing boxes as his nests, so this was perfect for that in his mind. He started chewing on the sides of the box, too.I would 100% recommend this to bird owners. Birds need a lot of stimulation for their mental health and overall wellbeing, and foraging is fun and interesting to them. This is the ultimate foraging toy. I find it fun to give them new toys to play with as well. This being a large box of a variety of natural items, makes it even better than a toy. It is definitely a fun toy, it is fun to watch the birdâs experience it, and it provides a nice variety of natural items. Most importantly, it is Cockatiel and Conure approved!

My bird wants more of these!
My bird loves his foraging box! He has fun “destroying” the items in it and throwing them around his cage and I enjoy watching them. The foraging box has items of a lot of different shapes and textures so every bird should be able to find items of interest. The colors are not vibrant, but I’m not sure that makes a difference to birds as much as it does to humans anyway. I wouldn’t say that the box is extremely durable, but that is more due to the nature of the product. The only negative thing that I can say about this box is that it is so large that I had a really hard time getting it into my cage (I have a smaller parrot) and medium-sized cage. I was eventually able to finagle it in, but it was a challenge. However, the most important thing to me is that this entertains my bird and that alone makes it a good value!

Conure approve
My conure love to chew. He love to play with these toys and it keep him entertained when heâs bored. He will pick it up to chew and toss it to the ground when heâs done. At the end of the day, I pick up whatâs on the floor thatâs still have some life left and put back I the. Ox for him to go through the next day. My conure is the only one I see playing with it. My other three budgies donât care for it. Itâs natural color, which I like, let me know itâs safe for him to chew. It comes in a lot of different items, all different shape, size, and textured. Great size box of toys.

Perfect toy for our African Gray!
Anybody with a medium to large pet parrot knows how they thrive on destruction. They’re at their happiest when they’re shredding, tearing, and flinging material everywhere! Our African Gray requires daily mental simulation, and this foraging box lasted her over a week! The box itself is clever. You can take the entire thing and put it in their cage unopened, so even unboxing is a fun activity for them! Now I opened it myself before giving it to her, and I was blown away by all the toys inside! There’s tons of wood chunks, sola pieces, and even pine cones for your bird to chew up and happily destroy. After verifying all the pieces were indeed safe for parrots, I closed the box back up and gave it to her. She spent the rest of the afternoon busily chewing the box open like it was her job.I’ve never seen such a happy little agent of destruction. By the night she had opened the box and removed some of the wood chews, strewing them around her cage to play with later. And she was still going at the box! When i ordered this product, I assumed it’d last her maybe a day or so, but this company did a great job at making a forage box so fun, it lasted for over a week. Worth every penny! I’ve never seen a toy that could entertain her for so long! Must-buy!
