Street Chicken Approved
Bought this to feed the neighborhood chickens and they loved it. It came to the point where they recognized me and my car, knew what time I would arrive and ran to me every time they saw my car pull up (even if they were down the street). But they still fended for themselves and they didnât rely solely on me for food. This was a nice treat that I could tell they enjoyed.

YUMMY for the chicks
My chickens LOVE this treat. They have been spoiled by ME…I admit it. They are subsequently, very finicky. After I let them out of coop in the morning, I give them each a handful of this treat. They follow me around hoping to get more only to find they will ave to forage for themselves until dinnertime when they get just a bit more. Not an animal in my forest who wants!! My bears love it too, but they prefer the trout and catfish food with their treats of grapes, raisins, and peanut butter suet!! Yeh- I’ve been asked to adopt all animals around here…by the animals themselves!

They come running!
I don’t love it but my chickens do. I have tried different party mixes and my hens are finicky and this is the only mix they will eat besides the plain Happy Hen Treats Mealworms. Once they hear the ruffling of the bag, my hens come running and flapping from every direction to my feet.When I first purchased this mix I really excepted it just to be filled with dried mealworms and oats, but to my surprise it had raisins, sunflower seed and peanuts too. I never knew chickens liked peanuts! They peak every little tiny piece up and some of them have their favorite pieces they scavenge around for.Full of protein that chickens need.

Don’t buy for the worms and you will be happy
I really wanted to like these. I had been ordering the grubbly farms fly larvae at $15 a month but was trying to cut down on monthly expenses and thought this would be a good option. The % of mealworms in this seems to be less than 5%. For something with Mealworm in the description I feel kind of taken. It’s mostly just the grains/oats which I could have just bought a giant bag of scratch and mixed with a bag of mealworms and had much more mix per $. Chickens liked it, and we went through it fast. However, I won’t buy it again because of the lack of worms.
