These Are High-quality Pet Bird Pellets!
I bought the “superfine” pellets for my parakeet as an alternative to seeds. She now has the energy of a young bird, even though she is nearly 10 years old. The pellets are fresh and packed in a reusable bag. I highly recommend these pellets for a robust pet bird diet.

My conure loved it!
My green cheeks conure Gazpacho has been on this for nearly a year and I just switched him to the adult lifetime variation, but he loved this while he was on it, made his feathers look gorgeous, and never had a hassle with getting him to eat it. 10/10 reccomend.

My canary’s health is improving very quickly on this and he loves it.
I took my canary to see my avian veterinarian. My new canary was having symptoms of malnutrition. I mentioned to my vet that I was going to start my canary on Kaytee Exact Rainbow Canary/Finch (pelleted) diet. He said that was a very good food and also recommended Harrison’s High Potency pellets. The first day I offered the Kaytee Exact Rainbow exclusively in a separate dish without any seed in the cage. The first day the canary only ate some of this out of hunger. The next day he wouldn’t eat it. I mixed it with seed after that and I don’t think he touched the pellets. Another day I tried soaking them and offering as a wet food with his favorite flavored vitamin powder on it and he wouldn’t touch it.I had a sample packet of Harrison’s High Potency “Fine” from the vet and immediately My canary started eating the pellets even though I also simultaneously put seed in a separate dish for him. That day he became more energetic and started trying to sing which he hadn’t been doing. I need to mention that the “fine” sized pellets are to big for him so he has a hard time eating them, so I ground them up into smaller pieces and he loves it even more. He’ll still eats seed but also eats the Harrison’s pellets whether I offer the seed or not. However he seems to prefer the Harrison’s pellets over the seed. He is still in transition and I usually give him just the pellets for the first part of the day and then offer seeds in the late afternoon and he does fine, but even when I give the seeds he still seems to prefer the pellets.Whether you also continue to offer seeds as a supplement or not, I definitely recommend feeding this product as a staple diet. My canary is doing much better on it. He is starting to sing again, he is much more active with a lot more energy whereas before he would just quietly sit on one perch all day.I am more than happy to purchase this on Amazon but I just wish more Veterinarians would carry the “Super-fine” sized pellet and more dealers because I needed this immediately.

The SUPER food for all companion birds
I’ve been raising cockatiels for several decades; and, there are three things that always worry me:1) The fact that parrots are expert at hiding maladies and injuries until they become very severe2) The serious dearth of Board-certified Avian Veterinarians (ABVP)3) The over-abundance of vet ‘dabblers’, who know how to clip a bird’s wings, and market themselves as ‘exotic-bird experts’ (if they aren’t ABVP, they aren’t Avian vets!)With an hour’s drive to my nearest ABVP, it’s important that I do everything in my power to keep my birds healthy…, and that starts with Harrison’s Bird Foods. Developed by one of the world’s top Avian Vets, and the only bird foods made in a ‘human’ cereal processing plant, where they are subject to the highest level of purity and quality control. When weaning a bird onto a pellet diet, I start with Harrison’s High Potency for the first 6 months. This super-charged food provides increased amounts of nutrients and boost every aspect of the bird’s health. After 6 months, you switch the birds over to Harrison’s Lifetime. This is how I became aware of Harrison’s pellets: I had a cockatiel who had plucked all the feathers from under her wings for 6 months; so, I took her to one of the aforementioned ‘exotic bird experts’. He looked at her for 90 seconds, diagnosed the plucking as the parrot “…having a new hobby…” and charged me $85.00. I then took her to an ABVP, who tested her droppings, gave her a detailed examination and diagnosed her as suffering from malnutrition (Hartz seed mix) and a yeast infection. He prescribed the Harrison’s High Potency for her nutrition, and medicine for the infection. After 3 months, she became calm, stopped plucking, and became a happy, healthy little girl.I find that small parrots (cockatiels, conures, etc.) prefer the smaller size of the Super Fine (it looks like seeds). But, there is an appropriate size for your bird. If you love your bird companion, and want to ensure that they are as healthy as can be, then you owe it to yourself to get them on Harrison’s.

I first heard of Harrison’s bird food through a review of different mixes by a YouTube bird channel. I participate in a few bird forums, and quickly learned that Harrison’s is recognized as one of the best quality bird foods available. I started my bird on Harrison’s High Potency Super Fine several months ago, and I found his energy and activity level improved. In Canada there seem to be few sellers of this U.S. brand, but I was happy to find it available (through a seller) on Amazon Canada.

I couldn’t ever get my budgie onto harrisons but my budgie was always sick. She suffered from the cold in the room always had a runny nose dioreah and generally unwell. I kept buying guardian angel for her because it would get her over the worst but then she would go back down hill. Then I tried probiotics for her and they worked for a while until she got ill again. So I got fed up for her getting ill. I purchased tops complete food which personally she didn’t like.so I tried pretty bird complete because it had many colours. I had to use my nutrition ninja to break the big pieces down and she took streight away to this. So I started adding harrisons to the mix. I was still giving seed and egg food. When she was eating both complete foods I slowly over a week or 2 reduced seed and egg food. Then I reduced pretty bird food. So now just harrisons. I have never had such a healthy bird. You hear it all the time but I can 100% justify that it’s true. My Bertie lost so much weight that I could feel her breast bone all the way down. Now 3 weeks of harrisons and the results speak for themselves. Glossy coat. More healthy weight than any of my budgies have ever had. More life and wanting naturally to eat the harrisons. She still let’s me know when she wants her daily treat of seed which she eats either out of my hand or in her bath with the full mirrored bottom. By the way that’s how u got her started her on complete food putting it in that mirrored bottomed bath.
