Quality pellet/ No Sugar/Easy on Digestive System
I have a green wing macaw, weighs 1050grams. She took to Harrisonâs lifetime pepper blend right away! Sheâs eating roughly 50g-60g of these pellet chunks daily in addition to fresh veggies and some fruit. Iâd also like to note that the stool consistency is perfect (bird owners know how important this is). So itâs not upsetting her digestive system at all, the switch was easy. She was eating Hagen lifetime pellets prior to the switch

Nutritious “crunch” that parrots love
I have used Harrison’s for years and never disappointed. My parrot loves it. It is his go to. It offers the “crunch” that large birds love for their “chewing” satisfaction.

Great Nutritious bird food, but size too big – Birds love it
I received the Harrison’s Organic Pepper Lifetime Coarse super quickly and with excellent packaging. My birds really enjoy this flavor. However, they do not enjoy the size. It seems this is only available in coarse size. I have a Mexican Redheaded Amazon and Senegal Conure. I think I have ordered the “fine” size in the past, but it seems it is no longer available anywhere I can find. Please make this in the “Fine” size in 5 lb bags.I find that the birds can finish a 1 lb bag pretty quickly so the 5 lb size is probably a better and more cost effective option. Both my birds really enjoy eating Harrison’s. I like the fact they it’s supposed to be organic. I didn’t know that the USDA also regulated pet food but that’s good. The veterinarian also recommends Harrison’s. It is important for parrots to eat pelleted food and not seeds. Seeds do not provide the nutrition they need to be healthy long term. We are also supposed to supplement the food with fresh fruit and veggies. I know I don’t do that enough, but at least they are getting pelleted food which is supposed to offer more complete nutrition.I can’t say enough about making these pellets in a smaller size. I would definitely purchase a lot more of it.I purchased this product at FULL Price and this is expensive bird food. However, it is good for the birds and they like it.

The only pellet that my Congo African Grey will eat
I have a 3.5 year old CAG parrot that Iâve had since she was just 10 weeks old. Throughout that time, I have thrown out HUNDREDS of dollars worth of high quality pellets, but they must not have tasted very good because she would not even touch them. Straight from the bowl to the garbage. Daily. Sheâd eat her fresh chop and Iâd bake birdie bread, a grain dish and a squash dish occasionally. I was really worried about her weight and if she was getting enough nutrition or not. She was hovering around 350 g. I brought her to her Board Certified Avian Vet who recommended these to us. I thought âwhat could it hurt?â I ordered a 1 lb. bag and SHE LOVES THEM. She sits on her cage door and eats one pellet at a time while watching tv with us. Itâs really funny to watch. Itâs like a game to her. Sheâll crawl all the way in to her cage for one pellet, eat it on her door and repeat. Shes not staying around 430-440g and I am beyond grateful. Sheâs such a goofy girl who thinks our dogs are her pets. LOL.But the most important thing is that her weight is finally in the normal range and she absolutely loves them.Buying these pellets from the Harrisonâs website actually works out to be a little more expensive than buying through Amazon. Iâll never stray from these. Iâm so relieved that we found something that she likes. Thank you, Harrisonâs!!

Great for my African Grey
I use a blender with Harrisonâs & Roudybush pellets. I blend them together so she gets both things that are good for her. I blend them up and in the morning I put a little in a bowl with warm water and mix up. She thinks itâs oatmeal..lol.. size, color is great

This one made the difference
I bought the other flavors to this brand but my African Grey is very picky. I had to make believe I was eating some so he’d be interested. This one was different and I think its the pepper. Thankfully I didn’t have to make believe I was eating this one, my African Grey took to it right away. It’s also a bit larger than the other flavors. The others are small pellet sized perfect for parakeets, this one is a larger square which he has an easier time holding it in his foot. This is a definite buy again.

Simon usually eats the Harrison Coarse Grind, not the pepper-type. I was having a hard time finding it so gave this a try. He took to it immediately and likes it a lot.
