Mealworms are the larvae of the Darkling Beetle Tenebrio molitor and have long been a staple feeder insect in the reptile, amphibian, and bird hobby because of how inexpensive and easy they are to store.

Features

Mealworms are great feeder insects for a variety of pets including Leopard Geckos, Crested Geckos, Fat Tail Geckos, Bearded Dragons, lizards, wild birds, and fish.
They are approximately ½"-¾" in length, but sizes may vary slightly because they are a natural product.
Mealworms can be fed as a treat or staple, depending on the animals you’re feeding.
They should be dusted with a proper vitamin and mineral supplement before being fed to your pet.
Older Mealworms may pupate, but these pupae may still be offered to your pet. However, discard adult beetles as most animals find these distasteful.
