I use it to fill my birds foraging toys and bury treats inside. They love ripping this shredder material out of the toy and chewing it up. Keeps them entertained.

My green cheek loves this
My green cheek conure absolutely loves this product. It’s very versatile; you can use it to make toys, wrap it around the cage bars, or weave it through parts of the cage for him to rip up. He enjoys it thoroughly. Honestly, you can use it in as many creative ways as you can come up with. It’s a very useful item.

Cute for parakeetâs cage
I use these to dress up my parakeetâs cage. I sometimes hide millet stems or small greens in the woven bits. My bird chews on these slowly time. A larger, more active bird would probably go through this a lot quicker.I imagine rodents would enjoy this too.

Bird Recommended
I was not prepared for how popular the shredders would be. My ringneck has developed a yard a day habit and the lovebird will do whatever gymnastics are required to get a piece. I’ll have to find them some sort of twelve steps program if this is every unavailable.

Good bird toy
My bird (cockatoo) really likes to chew on these. My only issue (minor) is that it’s hard to tear off pieces so I don’t have to give the entire roll to the bird. It can be cut easily but I never have scissors handy and just would like to tear it into smaller pieces. Overall a good bird toy, although it still seems ridiculous to buy a toy that is just going to be shredded shortly but that’s part of having a parrot as a pet!

Helps Prevent My Parakeet From Picking His Own Feathers
I have two parakeets and one of them picks his feathers on occasion. He does this despite having a parakeet companion, a very large flight cage, plenty of toys, fresh water and veggies, and fresh food. Fortunately these shredders seem to keep my picker occupied enough that he doesn’t pick his own feathers. This is the first time I’ve ordered the natural, non-colored shredders. The last time I purchased these it was from a local bird shop- it was the same product but they were multicolored palm leaf strips. What I’ve found that works best is to cut off about 6 inches to 1 foot of the roll and then tie it in a bunch of knots on the sides of their cages and to the bottom of some of the long wooden bowels. They will pick at these and chew them up until they fall off of the wooden bowels to the bottom of the cage. That is when I cut off another strip and retie it to the cage and wooden perches.

My lovebirds obsessed with PP
My lovebirds (mainly the female) are obsessed with the material used in planet pleasures bird toys. I can barely string it along the cage before sheâs attacking and breaking off part. Obviously she thinks itâs prime nesting material. The material is rigid enough to provide that crunch sound but not too difficult for them to get beak through- more than paper, less than a small branch/rattan balls. The only think is I will go broke from how much she can go through.

Useful for tying around the house to give birds options for things to chew instead of, say, the wall. I appreciate the environmentally sensitive approach and the fact that it is a natural product, which is probably healthier for birds too. Would buy again.

I make sure to always leave my parrotlet a chunk woven into the bars of his cage so he can angrily tear them up before I get home. He loves it or he hates it, I canât tell?

A bit with my cockatiel, went full shredder mode on it 🙂

This stuff is great! It makes my bird feel safe and more secluded. This also helped my jenday conure stop screeching so much! Love it!
