My quail absolutely LOVE this feed!!
I’m a newish quail owner and have a small flock of 7 cotournix (6 girls one male). When I found this feed, I was attracted to it’s natural ingredients and wanted to make sure we were feeding them the best of the best since we’re using their eggs (you are what you eat!). The price and some of the reviews made me a bit nervous to try it, but as a local MD girl, I really wanted to support a business in my home state, so I got the small bag to test it out. Well…it passed…with flying colors!!! My quail are obsessed with this feed! Completely destroyed the first bag. Once I knew that, I switched to the large bag, as it’s much more cost effective. The feed is always fresh and looks and smells natural (my husband said it sort of reminded him of granola ð). It’s got plenty of good stuff in it already, but I like to add dried marigold and paprika to give their egg yolks a rich, orange color. They absolutely love it! It’s also the perfect texture for their tiny beaks (the end of the bag is a bit powdery, but that’s to be expected – they even eat the crumbs!). I waited for them to start laying to see how they did on this feed before I wrote my review. Again..I have 6 hens…and the most eggs I’ve pulled in a day have been TWELVE. It’s incredible! Most other days we get 8 or 9…meaning lots of great laying on this feed. Early on, I had issues with them consuming their oyster shell (they thought it was another dust bath and kicked it everywhere!), so I was worried that some of the first eggs would be soft or deformed. But every single egg has been perfect, and I really attribute that to this feed. I know everyone’s flock has different habits, and this feed is a lot pricier than some bigger brands; but from my experience, it’s worth every penny! I really hope they keep this in stock, or I may be knocking on their door asking for more ð.

What to feed a Quail who needs a home? This is it!
I found a Quail on my neighbor’s front porch and didn’t know what to feed it. I looked on Amazon and they actually had Quail food I could buy. All I know is that this quail seems to love this food. I felt the price was fair and I received 10 pounds of feed for a good price. I have to read up more on this bird but the food looks clean and good quality and this bird eats a lot! I read the ingredients and it seems to have the food the quail needs. I received the food in one day. Very good service.

Seems good
Seems to be a decent mix. Even when fed this exclusively without vitamin/mineral supplements, my cortunix quail seem to handle it well and lay eggs normally. The food has been crushed into a powder with tiny tiny crumbs. As it says on the store page, its form is granules. Pieces of corn are also very very small. So, keep it dry and off the ground, but that’s good practice for all feeds. If you’re wondering how quail handle powder-like forms, my quail eat it by kind of scooping it into their upper beaks rather than grabbing pieces at a time.I give them 5 stars because I can’t think of any reason I should give them less. I guess one thing that could be better is maybe they could obtain their protein from a variety of seeds rather than just soybean.

Perfect for button quail.
Gorgeous product. A good mix of powder fine particles and mid to larger size chuck, perfect for my button quail. Has enough protein to suit baby button quail but do your own research! Good stuff.

Perfect for Button Quail
It’s really hard to find food that the button quails won’t won’t dig out because they’re trying to find smaller pieces. This food does that! Sometimes they’ll kick a little food out but overall they munch it up pretty good. My button quail hens also an egg everyday on this food. So if you’re looking for a good food for your buttons, this one is great!

Powdery, quail will not touch it
I was looking for something with natural ingredients to try and move my quail to a more organic diet. I regret switching them from manna pro and have now purchased manna pro game bird feed half way through this bag as a replacement. I wanted to like this brand, but my quail will absolutely not touch it, I put leftover manna pro crumbs into this feed and they act like theyâve been starving. Their health and egg laying has suffered. It is powdery and more of the consistency of a dust bath, which is what they seem to prefer to use it for over eating. I wouldnât recommend wasting money on this, Iâm just going to be mixing it in with a bag of manna pro that I ordered to help my hens get back to optimal health. Trust what the other negative reviews mention, I thought they were a fluke.
