These are cute little toys. I don’t see anyone playing with it, unfortunately. It was cute and there was some curiosity at first, but no one would play with it. I am not sure if they didn’t like the sound or just didn’t know how to use it. I also wouldn’t use this as a chew toy option; it is all hard plastic, and I don’t think that is overly safe. The thought of something breaking off and getting swallowed or someone getting hurt when biting it worries me.

While itâs labeled a âchew toy,â itâs really more of a spinner/rattle toy, so donât buy it expecting a chewable. That said, itâs an excellent toy and my bird loves it.The mounting system is sturdy and easy to installâno cheap washer-and-wingnut setup here. The toyâs design, with its smooth knobs and edges, makes it easy for my bird to push and play with safely. The spacing from the cage gives it more dimension, making it more engaging.The quality feels solid. The plastic is smooth and durable, more like a quality baby toy than a flimsy dollar-store item. It spins with just the right amount of friction and makes a pleasant rattle sound (not music, despite what the photos might suggest).For the price, getting two toys is a great deal. It’s a great price for what it is. My bird is entertained, and Iâm impressed with the build. Highly recommended!

For small to medium parrots only
Itâs been a week and my senegal parrots are still scared to death of these new toys (as per usual for them).The toys seem very well made.While I would not risk giving this to large parrots that could crack it open and eat the beads, I am pretty sure that this is made well enough that small and medium parrots can play and chew on it without risking breaking it open.Close up pics provided for thickness and build quality.This is super easy to put in the cage. Just remember to put your finger on the middle part on the front of the toy, otherwise when screwing on the back the bolt will just spin endlessly, without actually tightening. I really like the plastic washers provided.If your parrots like spinning things or things that rattle, then they should (eventually) enjoy this toy!

Great for small and medium birds
I put one of these in the budgie colony, and one on the play stand for my Indian Ring Neck and Quaker. All the birds love them! The budgies were hesitant at first, but once they figured it out, they really liked it. The Quaker loves to fling it around and then sing her little Bacon Pancakes song while she watches it spin. The IRN is intent on getting the balls out, so she tends to be a bit more aggressive with it, but so far, she hasn’t been able to cause any damage. They mount easily to the colony cage and the play stand (it has a peg board side and a wire square that’s suspended, so I mounted this to the wire bit). Great price for great toys.

Cute toy
These are cute and a nice toy for our budgie. The only issue I had was when installing it as I tighten the back screw the toy would get screwed on tighter at the same time which made it stop spinning. I had to loosen the toy a lot before installing it so that as I tightened the back, the toy was still free so spin.
