Good food! Tiny gripes.
I’m really impressed with this food. A little goes a long way, my Budgie and Bourke love it, the ingredients impress me, and for the price and how long it will last, (it’s virtually no waste)I feel like it’s a good deal. Here are my *two* complaints, that I haven’t docked a star for, because I feel they’re smell enough.Gripe 1: I don’t like how the food claims it’s a complete food that you don’t need to supplement with anything. This heavily effects my opinion of a parrot food brand. ALL parrots need to have the mental stimulation and vitamin content of fresh veggies and/or fruits. I’m the kind of person that would never just take a parrot food’s word on something like that, but not everyone is. No good can come of discouraging owners to supplement with other foods. Plus I am team budgies-and-grass-parrakeets-NEED-some-high-quality-whole-seed-in-their-diet, but that’s another conversation. Obviously this gripe doesn’t relate to the quality of the food, just my own personal knowledge and beliefs on parrot diet.Gripe 2: It smells, to me, like fruity vomit. I hate the smell. Thankfully it’s not strong enough to bother me except when I’m actively sniffing it to confirm that, yes, still smells that way, but ymmv.Overall it’s a good food that I feel good about feeding my birds. I’d recommend it.

Itâs working
It do smells bad lol but I start mixing it with my hand feed formula for my 3 weeks old parakeets and they seems to like it! And based on company they saying youâll have to provide it in stages and not immediately and alone for the birds! they will refuse it I guess. As long as itâs good for them thatâs all I need for them to grow strong and healthy.

Gritty
Very gritty and does not resolve with water at all. It’s like corn meal consistency.

Weening lifesaver
It was the perfect product to ween my baby budgies hand-raised from egg do to abandonment. They still appreciate it into adulthood, but it’s too expensive to keep them on as a main diet, and there are certainly pellets out there that provide better nutrition. However, for weening, it was a lifesaver.

Hang 10 from budgie âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸
The QUALITY is amazing, smells fresh, budgies love the taste. One of the more healthy n nutritious diets for birds. 2 pounds decent size should last me about a month with 4 budgies. I think $20 a month is fine for the perfect pellets. I will be purchasing again!

Does Not Dissolve!
I normally use this brand for Tiels and it’s been great. However, they couldn’t get one delivered to me for 10 days so I tried this since it could be delivered next day. (It still took 3 days to arrive!) This formula will not dissolve no matter how hot the water is! It just sits in the bowl like a clump of sand. Obviously I was unable to use it to feed the babies. (We raise Green Cheek Conures, and Cockatiels.) Now I have to find something else to order and hope it arrives before I run out of the actual Tiel food. This is one of those times where I would prefer to rate a product ZERO stars! Do not purchase this! Complete waste of money!!!!

Birds love it!
I have tried other pellet bird food and my birds (a budgie and Rosy Bourke) refused to eat them. This is almost like a ground meal, smells fruity and, most importantly, they seem to love it! Happy to be able to add another food variety to their meals. I will continue ordering this.

Parakeets will eat it
The parakeets would not eat other pellets. They will eat this food if you follow the instructions and mix with seeds or whatever their previous food is for the first few weeks. The color looks good, it smells fresh, fruity, and maybe a bit toasty. The parakeets look as good as ever and seem to enjoy the food as much as or more than seeds. It is a bit more expensive than other pellets but I consider it worth it considering they would not touch the other pellets despite mixing.

My parrotlets, cocktails and budgies love this food, I mix it with their normal seed. Smells lovely.
