Very nice busy toy for my African Grey
My African Grey destroys this toy in 2 days, then leisurely works on the basket part for another 2 or 3 days. Then she wants all the pieces from the bottom of the cage so I have to make sure they’re clean enough for her to investigate and chew. I’ve bought 3 of these in the past couple of weeks and she hasn’t loved a toy so much in 30 years (she’s 37). I will buy more but space them out a bit. This is a nice toy overall for most smaller birds, but my Grey (though a larger parrot) loves to dig through these colorful and interesting bits and pieces. I recommend this one for the busy feathered foragers in your family.

My Bird’s Favorite Toy (UpDATED)
When I first put this small basket into my conure’s cage, he didn’t give it any attention. After I moved it to his shelf, so he could get to it easier, he started to play with some of the items inside. It took him a few days to acclimate to it being in his cage, but once he did, he would stand on top and pull and pull to try to get the toys out of it. They are tightly packed in there. First, he pulled out the crinkled paper, one strip at a time, shredded each piece, threw them to the bottom of the cage, and then went back for the finger trap toys. He destroyed one of them but the other four are still on his shelf, in various stages of destruction. He loves the grassy nesting material and will burrow under it. He tosses and chews on the popcicle sticks and the other wooden spoons. Now, about every three or four days, I’ll take his things that he’s thrown out of his basket and stuff them back in to the basket. This starts the foraging process all over again. This last time, though, he pulled everything out much faster, and he’s started chewing on the basket itself. I watched him chew off the little plastic pieces on the front of the basket–quite frankly, I’ll probably take them off the next time–they are small and I worry he’ll try to eat or swallow them. If he were a bigger bird, like the Amazons, this could be dangerous.Given the price of this item, the fact it’s lasted about a month now, and we’ll probably get a few more weeks out of it before he tears up the basket so much we’ll remove it from the cage, I’d say this is a great toy and a great investment for bird fun. I will definitely be buying more in the future. My bird absolutely loves foraging through this little packed basket.UPDATE: My conure finally, after several months, destroyed the first basket and all the inserts. So we bought another one. This time, there was no fear of it or anything when we put it in the cage–he went right to it and started picking through it. He absolutely loves this basket and it still is his absolute favorite toy! We will buy it again and again for him.

They get destroyed fast, but my birds LOVE them!
This toy is my bird’s absolute favorite, he has one in his cage 24/7. My boy is a rescue and has not had any new toys previously, so it usually takes him a long time to figure out how to play with them, but not this toy! As soon as I put it in and he hears the rustling (he is mostly blind) he makes his way over to cause mass destruction â¡. I was scared that it might be a bit too small for my baby (Congo African Grey), but was pleasantly suprised as he tends to make it last a few days before he completely tears it apart. Sometimes he falls asleep with his beak on it after playing for hours ð

Was fun while it lasted
My Grey allowed this toy to live in her cage for only a few hours and then it was gone. She had a blast but I don’t think I’d get another one simply because of its ease of destruction. Which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But it’s a really cute toy with different textures, and It might be more suitable and last longer for a smaller bird or maybe a Grey who is not as obsessive as mine is.

Great toy
My medium sized parrot that I’ve had for over 25 years is beyond picky about her toys. I let her see some of the stuff in the basket but she still wasn’t sure. I always make sure everything is safe for Angel! One day I left the house and she went crazy on it. It was so hilarious! I watched her when I got home and she pulled so hard to get the straw out of the bottom she flipped over on her back! I had it tied up at the bottom of her cage so no problem!

Birds Loved It!
My quaker and green-cheeked conure loved this toy, but they dismantled it in a week. Once one piece came out, they all did. I took a piece of cardboard, put small slits. and inserted all the goodies into the cardboard that I wedged back into the basket. That extended the life of the toy another week. The company should find some way to bind/tie down the contents in the basket. Then it would definitely be an excellent toy.

Bonded pair of conures are glued to this basket
My little babies love this toy more than anything but because of that it will be destroyed within a day or 2. Still an amazing toy worth getting to keep your parrots happy and keep their brains stimulated

I trust Super Bird creations brand as they do not manufacture bird toys and accessories that are unsafe for birds such as artificial coloring that is tocix not only to birds but animals as well. Their products as always are high in quality and my lovebirds absolutely love this foraging toy. They are halfway done shredding the contents of the toy and have lots of fun with it. Will definitely get another once this toy is destroyed by them!

I got this for my female budgie for times I need her in her cage (usually for time-out or when I need her to be outside and enjoy fresh air whilst in her cage). She doesnât like her cage and will tear things up while the cage is shut so this thing is great! She needs to be a bird sometimes and having this toy provides plenty of enrichment for her (essentially, she just takes her frustration on the toy rather than the newspaper on the bottom, fling food out of her dish bowls, or pretends to be stuck in a corner and chirps for me to come get her).

Brilliant product. Full of goodies but not huge and scarey

Its funny, but she loves the basket itself, all the toys are always thrown out. But anyway I fill it up every few days with different toys and treats, so my birdie has some foraging games.
